Privacy Policy

Tippa is a free, private NRL and AFL tipping app for families and friends, run by JAW Digital. You pick the winners of each game, lock in your tips before kickoff and follow your group’s ladder. Tippa has no advertising, does not sell personal information and has no public profiles.

When you create an account and use the app we collect:

• Account details: your email address and first name. If you sign in with Google or Apple we receive only your name and email address from them; we never see your Google or Apple password.
• Your tips: the teams you pick for each match, and the scores and ladder positions calculated from them.
• Your favourite teams for the NRL and AFL, used to colour the app.
• An optional profile photo if you upload one.
• Group membership: which private group(s) you have joined.
• Notification settings: if you turn on notifications, a push subscription from your device so we can remind you before tips close.
• Feedback you send through the in-app feedback button.

We use only the cookies and local storage that keep you signed in and remember simple settings. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers.

Solely to run the tipping competition inside your private group: to sign you in, record and score your tips, show the ladder, apply your team colours and send the reminders you have asked for. Nothing is sold, shared with advertisers or used outside the app.

Only members of your own group can see your first name, photo, ranking and (once a match has locked) your pick. Tippa has no public profiles or discovery; groups are invite-only.

To run Tippa we use trusted providers who process data for us: Supabase (database, sign-in and photo storage), Vercel (hosting), Resend (sign-in emails), and Google or Apple if you choose to sign in with them. They may only use your data to provide those services to us.

You can permanently delete your account at any time from the Profile screen. Your email, name and photo are removed immediately and backups are cleared within 30 days. Historical tips stay in your group’s records so past rounds and the ladder remain accurate for other members, but they are no longer linked to your name. You can also deactivate your account to step back from the leaderboard without deleting it.

If you cannot access the app, email us and we will delete your data on request.

Tippa is intended for people aged 13 and over, and under-18s should use it with a parent’s or guardian’s permission. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and the date at the top.
